Why This Must Be Read:
Summary by the author: „The team bonds and naps on the flight home from a mission that didn't go wrong“
This short story is the opposite of yesterday's team-fic rec. It zooms in on the core team of John, Rodney, Teyla and Ronon in the close environment of a jumper (which turns it practically into the fifth member of the team, right?) and their close friendship in a safe situation.
If you have ever done hard work for a length of time as part of a team you will recognize that Auburn got that air of exhaustion absolutely right. She caught that special atmosphere/mood/spirit/frame of mind of this particular kind of „aftermath“ so well, you can practically taste it.
It's "sweet" in this satisfying way that doesn't make your teeth hurt but warms the heart.
