Why This Must Be Read: In keeping with my Need theme, this is another story about the aftermath of Need. This story is unique because it takes place months after the episode, but deals with events that affected both Daniel and Jack. I loved PhoenixE's perspective of the characters, what they did, and how they dealt with it. Daniel, especially, learns to become strong on his own, but also to accept help and friendship when it's offered and he needs it. This story is very emotional both from Jack's point of view and from Daniel's.
(This story does have at least two instances of Jack calling Daniel "Danny," but it's set in season 2 when Jack still called Daniel that occasionally, and it's not overused.)
