Why This Must Be Read: This is short, a little over 5000 words and is feel good fic, which makes this perfect to read during your morning coffee or lunch break. Taking place during season 1 this fic is a whisper of a crossover, only a whisper though. Ethan Rayne shows up for all of five seconds and has a conversation with Rodney. One that he promptly forgets and doesn't remember again until he is in Atlantis.

Why This Must Be Read: This is haunting. The language is smooth and flows as if Daniel were relating a story to an audience even though this story is written in a third person voice. It gives a hint into what Daniel & Sha're's life might've been like. After reading it I had chills as the last line just hit me with an 'oh wow' vibe.

Why This Must Be Read: Inspired by the 2006 winter Olympics, this short AU (about 2K words) shines with guttural, realistic dialog. It's sharp and funny, with some really great detail to it. Plus the character voices really make the story.

Why This Must Be Read:

Summary: When another Sam Carter comes through the Stargate, Sam must come to grips with this other version of herself, and deal with her faults, her doubts, and her concerns before they wreck her standing in the SGC and her personal relationships.

This is a very interesting take on the "differences" that a quantum mirror universe can bring up. But apart from that, it's a fantastic character study for Sam. Seldear really delves into Sam's mind, and shows her innermost thoughts and doubts, and also shows the way the team rallies around her and appreciate her for who she is.
