Why This Must Be Read: This is a wonderful mixture of mission fic and character studies, centered around Rodney's POV and involving them all, as they figure out what's going on between them and find a way to make it work. The ending may not be quite what you expect but it's satisfying and right for them, and it's just a really great read.

Why This Must Be Read: This is one of Mira's lovely post-apocalyptic stories which is nonetheless, as the title says, unexpectedly happy. Forced by the Wraith to flee Atlantis, the team have formed an extended family and put down roots elsewhere in Pegasus. I love how they've all matured and the lovely complexity of their relationships and the lives they've made. Mira's stories like this one, set in these kind of 'exiled from Atlantis' 'verses aren't straightforwardly happy at all, but to me, they're comfort fic of the best and most real kind.

Why This Must Be Read: This is a short series of 2 fics, combining two of my great favorites - OT4 and slave-fic (also aphrodisiacs and drunk!fic, as a bonus). In the usual 'we'll do anything in the name of trade relations' spirit of SGA, Rodney, John and Ronon become Teyla's slaves off-world at a dinner/orgy. It's hot, yes, and hits a lot of kink buttons, but the dialog is also really great and their characterizations are spot on. A whole lot of fun.

Why This Must Be Read:
This is such a great fic, with the team in a foursome and now having to negotiate one of Ronon's hitherto unknown Satedan rituals: 40 days of kind-of celibacy. It's funny and hot and it gets their voices just right. I especially love the married domesticity of it all, which is hilarious and rings very true.
Thingswithwings' stories were on LJ and DW before being uploaded to AO3 which is why, I think, this fic's only got 2 comments. I reckon it needs a lot more, so read and enjoy, and leave TWW a little love!

Why This Must Be Read: The back half of S3 was bursting with events that should have affected Teyla deeply, but precious little time was devoted to her actually dealing with them. Then along comes this incredible tag for "The Ark" that cuts right to the heart of what Jamus was trying to do and why that would terrify her so much. The OT4 is not incidental here; it's the shape of her team around Teyla that holds her together and brings a measure of peace (and closure) to an episode that left so many questions behind.

panisdead works very delicately to shift Rodney's point of view from Oikos, giving us the social misfit we know and love without sacrificing the beauty of the original. It's like a remake of a classic movie everybody loves, but one done by a brilliant director who understands the original perfectly. And after reading this, I understand the original better, too.

Because Sheppard had to be affected after the events of Common Ground, right? And this story details his freakout perfectly, with bonus team bonding.

John knew he was freaking out, because not long after Beckett had started the exam, he had touched John's arm and John had flinched away. Since then, Beckett had been very careful and even more gentle than usual. He made very sure not to startle John, holding up each instrument first and explaining what he was going to do with it. Considering that Beckett had done John's post-mission exams and physicals and surgeries and everything else for two years, it might seem unnecessary. Except it wasn't.
