Aurora takes logical conclusions to "What Ifs" in the Stargate 'Verse and turns them into hilarious outtakes. In "Trauma Confessions" she examines what would happen if a member or two of SG-1 were brought into a "regular" hospital and questions arise. Its cute, funny, and totally on-track to what might happen. We all know SG-1 isn't crazy, that doesn't mean the rest of the world would, though.

I wasn't sure whether or not I wanted to rec this since it's still a work in progress, but then it was updated and I took it as a sign. This is a very enjoyable read so far. Anise crash lands on Earth and her host, Freya, dies, but Anise is able to take another host when Dean Winchester stops to help her. Dean is an unwilling, yet cooperative host who gets pulled further into SG1's world when they try unsuccessfully to contact the Tok'ra so Anise can pass on her intel and get a new host. The characterizations are spot on, and the story does not suffer from oversharing as some crossovers are apt to.

Why This Must Be Read: A nanite-free Elizabeth is recovered. She suffers from amnesia and has been sent back to recover on Earth, but she hasn't been told anything about Atlantis. She settles in Paris. But when she starts to remember, Jack O'Neill sends John Sheppard to help her remember.

This fic is wonderfully written. Following Elizabeth's thoughts as time goes by, and wondering if, when and what Jack and John are going to tell her anything keeps us reading. The fic is especially interesting to read for the relationship that develops between Elizabeth and John before she remembers who he is.

Why this must be read: Have you heard of comfort food? How about comfort fics? Savior is a story I read regularly, whenever I need a pick-me-up. I finish it and sigh in satisfaction. Daniel wakes up in a cell, injured and without his memory. The stranger with him becomes his savior, providing him both comfort and care.

Although this is a work in progress, it is already well over 110,000 words and it is absolutely marvelous.  It would never have occurred to me to make Rodney McKay Rory Gilmore's real father, but it works very, very well. The story is set post-series for both Gilmore Girls and SG-1, and during Atlantis season 4. When Chris is diagnosed with leukemia, he needs a bone marrow transplant and Rory is tested for compatibility. Both are surprised when it turns out that not only is Rory not a compatible donor, it is not possible that Chris is her biological father. When Rory learns that Rodney McKay could be her biological father, she starts researching his work, which attracts the attention of the SGC.

Author's Summary: Rory Gilmore always thought she was Christopher Hayden's daughter, but things are a little more complicated than that...

The second half of her "Menace Duology", the story stands on its own as a fabulous episode tag to Season 5's "Menace." What makes it unique is that it is told from Janet's point of view. We have the chance to see here that when the awesomeness of SG-1 breaks down, there are people to help put them back together again. Here, Janet is the great mediator-the one who wasn't involved with the group dynamic and politics of SG-1 and can be the person to whom people seek a dry shoulder when the going goes right past tough to downright miserable.

Not nearly enough do we see Janet take a lead role in a story.
