Why This Must Be Read:

It's always lovely to come across a fic that expands on the canon of the show, where the author picks up on something left unsaid or implied and creates something to fill the gap.

Bra'tac is something of an enigma on the show, we know so little of his past and only small glimpses into how he guided Teal'c to the position of First Prime of Apophis, while sowing the seeds of rebellion.

_minxy_ captures the tone and rhythym of the Jaffa way of speaking, and in a beautifully restrained fic, shows us Bra'tac as he first meets the young Teal'c. The imagery is beautiful and the whole exchange feels very real.
