Why This Must Be Read: In war, there are losses. This story, set at some point in the future, is about bitter sweet victory. For though it is set at a time when enimies have been defeated, this fic reflects on those who might be lost in the battle. It contains both flashbacks of their deaths andtheir funerals, with the memorial service as the main setting. And its beautifully done.

Why this must be read:

This is a beautiful piece that explores Teyla pre-series. It shows a Teyla that hasn't yet accepted the mantle of leadership but who is still aware of her responsibilities to her people. katie_m really captures Teyla's voice and it is wondurous to see a younger, more innocent Teyla who is still essentially herself. In this story we see what might have happened to shape and mold Teyla into the wonderful woman we love today.

Why this must be read:

This is supposed to be 3rd in what is shaping up to be an excellent series. However, you don't need to have read the previous fics to understand it. It is Rodney/Teyla established relationship and it shows the evolution of their relationship. It is beautiful and well written, shusu really captured both Rodney and Teyla's voices. The fic just resonates with me and it is such a realistic depiction of Rodney and Teyla's relationship. The last scene especially is very squee worthy.

Why this must be read: 

God, I love this fic. Tielan is definitely one of my fave writers in SGA and this story is possibly my fave out of all that she has written. It is the direct sequel to Asked, Ungranted, from John pov. I recommend reading Asked, Ungranted first, but this fic can stand alone. It is short but very well written and the characteriztions are steeped in canon. I love how frustrated John is and how he wants more but Teyla is the one who sets the pace for their relationship. Words cannot describe how good this is, so don't take my word for it. Read it!
