Why this must be read:
This is supposed to be 3rd in what is shaping up to be an excellent series. However, you don't need to have read the previous fics to understand it. It is Rodney/Teyla established relationship and it shows the evolution of their relationship. It is beautiful and well written, shusu really captured both Rodney and Teyla's voices. The fic just resonates with me and it is such a realistic depiction of Rodney and Teyla's relationship. The last scene especially is very squee worthy.

There were some weird moments after that. Not the public staring, because it was Teyla and it was Rodney and if one didn't kick your ass, the other still had access to your hot water supply. What got him was the use of the room. His use of her room, which translated to their room. The first time he slept there alone while she was on the mainland. The first time he saw her putting on Earth-made eyeliner, which he'd never realized she used. The first time he did their laundry (sorting out the leather was harder than he anticipated.) The first time they decompressed from a mission together, alone, instead of seeking out John or Ronon. The first make-up sex had been his fault, as expected. (He'd always been terrible at names, and after a particularly silent morning Teyla had drawn up a chart of kinship groups. He'd spent the evening printing out archived photos and sticking faces to names.)
