Why this must be read:
God, I love this fic. Tielan is definitely one of my fave writers in SGA and this story is possibly my fave out of all that she has written. It is the direct sequel to Asked, Ungranted, from John pov. I recommend reading Asked, Ungranted first, but this fic can stand alone. It is short but very well written and the characteriztions are steeped in canon. I love how frustrated John is and how he wants more but Teyla is the one who sets the pace for their relationship. Words cannot describe how good this is, so don't take my word for it. Read it!

Lately, it's harder to be gentle.
John never thought of himself as a harsh man, but it hurts to know he means less to her than she does to him, and he eases that pain with her body. Not viciously or brutally because he doesn't want that any more than she does. Just a little rougher, a little needier, a little more aggressive as he thrusts into her, as he drags her down, before she slips from the bed, leaving him alone and used in the sheets.
He never asked why she couldn't stay. He doesn't think he wants to know the answer. And he's afraid of losing even what little he has, so he doesn't ask again.
