Why This Must Be Read: This fic can be confusing, because the POV swaps between two time periods (one a month before the other) without much in the way of warning. It is good though, dealing with Jack's friendship (or lack of) with Frank Cromwell almost as much as his relationship (also lack of) with Sara. Given that the real meat of this story takes place after "A Matter of Time" only one of those has any chance of being fixed, and the other gets in the way.

Why This Must Be Read: We never hear much about Jack's imprisonment in Iraq from his POV, let alone Sara's. Much screaming and wailing and crying (understandably), though the "happily ever after" at the end was what got me the most, probably because we all know that it didn't last.
