Why This Must Be Read:
In my previous rec for this month, I recommended a coda for one of my favorite SGU episodes, "Twin Destinies" from Season Two. Here is a short, beautiful bit of writing that explores a key scene from another favorite, "Darkness", from Season One.
In "Canary", the author gives us a peek into Young's mind as Rush falls apart (falls down, falls silent). Short, insightful, well-written - the story shows us both Young's sense of responsibility, and a view of Rush seen through Young's eyes.
