Why This Must Be Read: I just read this one last night, and had to sneak a rec for it under the wire. It's a simple conversation between John and Rodney post-Quarantine, but it's just so perfectly them -- funny, sweet, poignant and insightful, with a couple places that kinda twist the knife because they're both just so bad at emotional intimacy even when they try. There was something about this conversation that just felt very real, very believable; I could really feel the canon characters coming through strongly here, though I suspect a conversation like this one would never happen on the show.
