Why This Must Be Read:This story focuses on one Atlantis' background characters, Dr. Miko Kusanagi. Small, shy, retiring Miko--utterly loyal, fiercely determined, completely unstoppable, and tougher-than-even-she-knows Miko, who does what she must, even if it's horrific and costs her everything. One of the things I liked most about this fic was how the author kept the tension high throughout--this is not an easy fic to read--I gnawed my fingernails all the way to the end.
