Why This Must be Read:
Honestly, I can't think of a fic by Dani that SHOULDN'T be read. This one stands out as a nice little look on how bringing back old friends can effect someone. It's post Ripple Effect and Sam reflecting on life's fragile threads leads to Sam/Jack smut. It was also written to try and perk up a friend of hers... ME :-) and it worked.

Seeing her again had nearly bent her double. She’d been able to hold back the small corner of her heart that denied her death, but seeing her there - seeing her walking and talking and interacting left Sam with such an immense feeling of depression that her heart hurt.
