Why This Must Be Read: It's rare to find an author who sees the characters and the show exactly as I do, but that's how I usually feel about this story. This story addresses so many issues and problems with the episode Heroes, but without changing canon in any way (IMO). It also addresses the changes in Daniel and in the Jack and Daniel friendship as well as Jack's thoughts about retirement. Best of all, the whole team is there supporting each other to some degree and Daniel is not so completely alone. I have to admit that this is my favorite kind of story, but it's also become a favorite story of mine of any type. The ending is perfect.
