Why This Must Be Read: I loved this story because it addresses a problem from the episode Heroes. Why wasn't Cassie at the memorial service? In the early years of the show, there was an indication that all of SG-1 maintained contact with Cassie. This story highlights her relationship with Daniel in a way that makes sense for both characters. The tone of the story is dark because of the subject matter, but the hope is there, too. It's the kind of emotional story that will rip your heart out in some ways, but also helps to bring a feeling of closure to this episode.
