Why This Must Be Read: Well, I won't say this one must be read, as it's pretty dark. But if you can handle a bitter-sweet apocafic with no survivors, this one's amazing and will haunt you afterward. Despite the end of everything, John's still hanging on and Rodney's still talking. Funny, grim, and oddly heartwarming, it's John and Rodney snarking away as always, even when one of them's dead.
John had referred to it as 'The Day Atlantis Went Living Dead', but all the fun had gone out of that without anyone to appreciate the effort. He'd had to move to the lab a few days later when he'd realized the disadvantages of a single entrance and exit with a base-full of zombies after your brains. Sneaky bastards. Always lying in wait.
