Why This Must Be Read: An interesting story about one of the cooler aspects of being a first contact team. It's a short, easy read, in contrast to my other recs this month, which are longfics. As ever with LtLj, the writing's clear and flows well, and the alien place described is interesting. John and the team, exploring and being explored.
