Why This Must Be Read: As with all Eos fics, the characterisations, dialogue, setting, and descriptive narrative in this story are oh so very well written - it's an effortless and altogether engaging read. Olé is a classic off-world adventure in which SG-1 is unexpectedly ambushed, leading to captivity, an unknown villain to identify, a maze to navigate, and a threatening monster. There's mythology, suspense, snappy dialogue, and, towards the end, for this reader, some unexpected pathos. Who could ask for more?
