Why This Must Be Read: Because I want everyone's heart to ache as much as mine did after I read this. Seriously, this is a beautiful fic that I don't want to spoil too much of because it's just wonderfully structured and the story develops so carefully that you really need to go in cold to appreciate it.

Although this is mainly Rodney POV, Toft does an amazing job of writing John in this; his pain and desparation is so clear throughout. Please, please read this.
