Why This Must Be Read: If you have ever wanted to read something that will make you - literally - laugh out loud while reading, this is the fic.  I adore this fic, because I've read it 4 times over the last 2 years, and it still cracks me up every time.  I won't give away any of the jokes/secrets, but there are insults for everyone on the team and many, many inappropriate moments along the way.  Do NOT eat or drink while reading.  I mean, how could you write anything less than loonie with a title like that, anyway?

Why This Must Be Read: Shock horror, I didn't really remember who David Parrish was *ducks*.  So when busaikko posted this on AO3 back in March, I thought "It's John, and NC-17, I'll give it a go."
Well! HOT is the first thing that comes to mind.  Followed quickly by vulnerability, awwwww, and a touch of humour.  I found myself encouraging "come on! Go to him" and "just say yes!" I love it when a story pulls me into itself, surrounds and captivates me.  This one did that.  It didn't leave me wanting more, simply because it was so well told you sigh with it's rightness.  Perfect characterization as well as hot sex.

Why This Must Be Read: This couple have been friends; been in love, want, need, desire, for FIVE years - without doing anything about it and now they've given themselves this chance.  They're both cautious of losing it and of being hurt, of echoing previous relationship mistakes - especially on John's side.
I don't ship John/Teyla, but even I recognise that they were the flagship couple of the show for it's duration.  As such, IMO, their eventual union should've been handled with much more consideration to those characters, than is done in the books.
This fic, as the author says, fills in how they see it playing out.  It was written prior to book three's release, but is done with thought and love and beautiful language, to give the reader a vision of two lovers long denied the pleasure of each other.  A fic that melted this hardened slash-reader's heart.
