A very spine-chilling look at John Sheppard and the guilt he bears from the Pegasus Galaxy. Lilac_way just has a special talent for spinning together disturbingly dark nightmare images and the brightly lit images of everyday life on Atlantis. John starts having nightmares about a shadowy figure in his room who he fights night after night. The nightmares escalate to him hurting his friends and loved ones. Then he learns that not everything is as it seems... Through wonderful use of shadow and light, Lilac drives us to a dynamic conclusion fueled by John's guilt and the comfort that he finds in Rodney. You'll love every second of this gem!

Why this must be read:The series takes place in a world where there is lots of BDSM and everyone tends to be a dominant or a submissive. It takes place in a world that is borrowed from Xanthe and her "General Sheppard and Dr. Sheppard" story. The story does show an evil version of Samantha Carter.

   The series progresses at a good pace and it introduces lots of layers without getting the reader confused on what is going on. Even though it is an alternate world, the reader still feels strongly for the characters throughout the story. There are quite a lot of original characters but they fit into the story very well. Evan Lorne is presented in an interesting way and his true colors does show through.
