Why this must be read:

Playing around with such canon elements as AI and the ATA gene, Layton takes us on a journey of terror and shock through the refuge of the expedition, Atlantis itself. Through foreshadowing that is out of this world, we get to see how having the ATA gene affects John and Rodney in a way that was never expected. Afterwards, it's a race to the finish to save everyone from a danger that no one ever saw coming on Atlantis. I swear I had a pillow handy to hide behind for portions of this fic; Layton's use of images and foreshadowing had me freaked out by the end. It will you too!

Story Summary: Sometimes he thinks he can even hear people talking in the walls, and it sounds like they're saying come home.

Why This Must Be Read: Mary Winchester and Jack O'Neill being BAMFs. Need I say more? Seriously, it's Jack getting a crash course into how to survive a horror film and Mary being a kick-butt hunter that saves the day and takes care of her kids. I don't think you need to know the Supernatural storyline since it's gone a little AU and it's from Jack's POV so he's a little lost, too.
