Author's summary: Missing scene from "Need" (S2). Daniel wants. Daniel gets.
Why This Must Be Read: Pretty much a classic at this point but apparently never recced here in this category, this is a very understated, funny fic with a wicked punch. The Jack voice and headspace are wonderful, and, while the fic is set on Earth after their return from Shyla's planet, the focus for once isn't on post-sobbing-breakdown Daniel-in-withdrawal but on still-hopped-up-on-pseudo-godhood Daniel-with-an-attitude -- which Jack finds himself, to his surprise, very OK with.
About 1700 words, by the author of the even more classic and very hilarious J/D badfic My First Stargate Story.
