Why this must be read: I was a little leery of posting this rec because the fic is so different from what I normally read, and it's very hurty and dark and sad, but while I was reading it I couldn't tear my eyes away from the screen, which made it a story good enough to rec.

This is a hurts so good fic with a gut punch at the end that actually made my heart hurt a little. The first three sections are from the team's POV as Jack forces them to perform various sexual acts with him. Each of the team members try to figure out what's wrong, sure that he's drugged or under some form of mind control, and how the team members interact with Jack during and after the sexual acts is done perfectly, as are their thoughts. The final section, Jack's POV, explains what's going on and hits hard. This isn't normally my cup of tea but I love how well it's written and how in-character the entire team is throughout—even Jack.

Why this must be read:

What I like about this fic is how Rubygirl has just gotten these two. She has captured them as warriors who reach roadblocks and obstacles at times. And to overcome those obstacles, who better than another warrior, one who's been in those shoes? I think the appeal of John/Ronon is akin to the appeal of Jack/Teal'c in SG1 fandom. Two warriors coming together for support and brotherhood. Ruby has taken this idea a step further, in my humble opinion, to create an intense and incredible relationship.

Story Summary (1st line of fic): Ronon worries about Sheppard, who has never spent his anger.
