Why This Must Be Read: This is a heart wrenching little story that deals with the aftermath of a wraith attack on Rodney. John is determined to stay with his ailing friend until the very end. It is painfully sad, yet so very much the John and Rodney we all love. The dialogue made me alternatively sniffle and smile.

Why This Must Be Read: In this story John Sheppard is not struck down at the hands of the Wraith, nor does he have an unfortunate encounter with a random piece of ancient tech. It's not aliens or an accident on a faraway world that causes his suffering. Instead it is a condition that strikes normal people out of the blue leaving both the one afflicted and their loved ones devistated. The shock that Sheppards team feel at the revelation of the extent of John's illness is something my family and others who have had a loved one struck with this condition can fully relate to. Kodiak_bear was presented a very realistic veiw of the emotions that everyone around John feel. I found the story to be heart gripping, full of lovely character peices that showed glimpses of the closeness and dedication that the team has developed. It shows the reader clearly that these people are more than teammates, they are very much family.

Why This Must Be Read: Man, I never thought it'd be quite so difficult to express why I think this fic should be read. It's got just about everything one could want from het fic in it, including a little light smutty goodness. tarimanveri delivers some great characterisation, showing Cameron at his gentlemanly, and his not so gentlemanly a-little-too-excited-by-the-situation best!
