Why This Must Be Read: This is a fantastic aliens bonding story, with a wonderful common frame of reference for Teal'c and Vala, and a brilliant rapport, even early in their acquaintance. These are the people who will arm-wrestle later at a briefing, who will run and hug when they find each other alive eventually, but in this story, it's two people with something in common. It's short, it's worksafe, and heartening.

Why This Must Be Read: Punk is an author I first crossed paths with many moons ago when the world wide web was still and was happy to find again in Atlantis. This short story is simply a little slice from the life of McKay shortly after "Duets. It looks at the impact of some of Cadman's actions in Rodney's body may have had on how those around him now view him and how his own view may have been altered as well. Poor Rodney, not quite able to trust his own brain.

Why This Must Be Read: Normally I don't read work-in-progress fics, let alone rec them, and I debated doing it now. However, the storyline that I am reccing really gets completed by Chapter 9 of this fic and Chapters 10 and 11 are more about laying down a new story arch with the same characters then carrying on the same one.

The author weaves a fascinating "what-if" in the aftermath of the episode "Trinity" and the alleged break in trust between Rodney and John (I say alleged because there was little evidence provided by the show itself). She also creates some very credible original characters as well as doing an excellent job of capturing canon characters. I loved every minute of the story, though I am still unclear on how I ended up reading it, because seriously, I do not read WIPs.

Why This Must Be Read: omg a fic from me that isn't Sheppard/McKay? That's right folks. I was looking at due South fic, when I saw the sequel for this, along with a manip made for it.

Daniel is the adopted son of a Washington politician, who is a loud voice in the Gay community. Jack is an ex-Air Force officer who now runs a personal protection agency. Daniel's dad hires Jack after Daniel recieves threats against him for speaking at a Pride Rally.

It might not be the best fic I rec, but I enjoy it. My adolescent/young teenage years were spent reading my mother's circa early 90's Harlequin romance novels, and this has elements from all my favorites. Intrigue, death threats, mystery, romance and a happy ending. I hope you all enjoy it as much as I do! to be honest, this is the one I've been most indecisive on reccing :D because while I don't think it's as good as others, I still enjoy it immensley

Why This Must Be Read:
This is just another outstanding work written by miss_porcupine that takes place in her fic-universe.  This is on how Lorne's team has an awful record when it comes to breaking in new lieutenants. Excellent funny and tongue in cheek story telling of those already fallen to the supposed curse as they suit up for their next mission with Cadman along as extra lieutenant this time. Shall Cadman be the next one to fall victim? Like being stuck in Mckay's head wasn't enough.
