Why This Must Be Read: Normally I don't read work-in-progress fics, let alone rec them, and I debated doing it now. However, the storyline that I am reccing really gets completed by Chapter 9 of this fic and Chapters 10 and 11 are more about laying down a new story arch with the same characters then carrying on the same one.
The author weaves a fascinating "what-if" in the aftermath of the episode "Trinity" and the alleged break in trust between Rodney and John (I say alleged because there was little evidence provided by the show itself). She also creates some very credible original characters as well as doing an excellent job of capturing canon characters. I loved every minute of the story, though I am still unclear on how I ended up reading it, because seriously, I do not read WIPs.
