Why This Must Be Read:
Wirtten for remix_redux. This is one of my personal favourite stories with Cam still being new on the team. He is the newbie who's still excited by going offworld. It's Cam being enthousiastic, cute and dorky and Daniel being the experienced veteran to counter that. The story is written with a good dose of humor and some teamy affection near the end.

Why This Must Be Read: Set in the first season, this story is an insightful look into the evolution of Dr. Rodney McKay, a man who had spent his career in labs (all be labs in some interesting places), to a man able to hold his own, at least somewhat, on an off world team in an often hostile galaxy.

Why This Must Be Read: I have to confess, I've never been comfortable at reccing things. Not because I worry about whether other people will question my sanity for liking it (this I am use to, my friends do it all the time), more because I am not particularly good as saying why someone else should a least give it a chance. Not a problem with this little story. Described by the author an experiment in structure, it was a successful execution using a countdown time line and THE swear word. Not to imply heavy use of foul language, because that is definitely not the case, just very clever use of the "F" word that had me smiling at Sheppard's predicament.

Why This Must Be Read: Niamaea wrote this charming story for sg1_ever_after. It gives us Sam and Daniel, sometime in the not-so-distant future, facing the prospect of a decommissioned SG-1 and Daniel’s compulsary retirement from going off-world. They know that within the next few years, the SGC will be going public and their lives will turn upside-down all over again; but what will they do until then?

Daniel’s enchanting solution is utterly, delightfully in character, as he proposes that he, Sam, and Teal’c take the time to really explore the one planet that they haven’t had the chance to truly experience. There’s warmth, and caring, and friendship, and a truly elegant tagline that promises a happy ending for the characters we love. What more could you want?
