Why this must be read:

It's not really so much a fic as it is a series of seven related day-in-the-life drabbles, but together they raise the drabble to an art form. Snapshots, so to speak. Each one is a tiny, perfect gem, a beautiful, flawless little word picture of a moment frozen in time. The use of language, particularly metaphor, is breathtaking and the 'ship is worked in so subtly and yet so perfectly that you hardly even notice it's there except that it feels *right*. Beyond that...well, considering I've written and discarded about five or six closing sentences for this, I think it's fair to say words fail me. *grin*

Why this must be read:

Whew. Might not've signed up for this category if I'd realized how hard it was to find good Teyla fic! Why isn't there more?? Anyway, contrary to what I may have led you to believe, I am going to recommend one somewhat Shep/Teyla fic, but that's not what interests me in the story. See, the 'ship content is borderline at best, both driven and eclipsed by something else, something much darker. It's a post-ep for "The Gift" that asks, just how far does Teyla's connection to the Wraith go, especially now that it's been awakened? The answer is very disturbing and not just for the character, but for the reader as well, but it's creepiest because eretia really makes you wonder in spite of yourself if it's possible.

WHY READ?: AC has a very earthy style of writing: her stories encompass the sexual side of both characters - and that is made quite manifestly clear in this story. I love the humour of both sets of thoughts as they try to make the radio work; and the 'epilogue' revelation. Definitely a good laugh.

Why This Must Be Read:
A very well written piece of work that askes the question..."What if Colonel O’Neill and Maybourne had been just a few seconds slower in reaching Sam during Desperate Measures?". I really appreciate and like how this author has written for O'Neill...it captures the character very well.
