Why This Must Be Read: This is possibly one of the most disturbing takes on John Sheppard that I've ever read. This is not a happy story or a comforting one -- but it's hopeful and fascinating, with great characterizations and a Rodney who is so determined and loyal that he breaks my heart.

Glad you liked it! When I rec categories, I try to do a mix of personal favorites and "lesser knowns" -- stories that don't have very many reviews, or are written by people who aren't generally known as writers of those type of stories -- in the hopes that I won't just be reccing the stories everyone's already read!
