(This story is a sequel to another by the same author, That Which I Should Never Say; both are excellent and well worth your time to read, but the second fits this category better than the first.)
Why This Must Be Read: If you're open to the John/Cam pairing, this is a lovely story with a protective Rodney, clueless John, and a bemused Cam who is starting to realize that dating John means learning to like Rodney as well. I love stories about people trying to deal with the complexity of being both a good partner and a good friend, and this story handles the situation with warmth and affection; both of John's relationships -- with Cam as a lover, and Rodney as a friend -- are treated with fairness, nuance and sympathy.
