Why This Must Be Read

Switching gears to rec a lighthearted story this round. "Team's Night Out" is set in early season 1, when SG-1 is just starting to get to know each other--when they're still learning their various quirks and experiences.

suzannemarie uses this fic to embrace some fanonish ideas and turn other fanon on its head. It's a wonderful, fun look at SG-1 during down time. There's banter and language misunderstandings and a betting pool. Most of all, there's the friendship core that makes teamy goodness oh so sweet.

I feel obliged to include a disclaimer that I helped beta the fic, but that just allowed me to get a sneak peek at this funny short story.
