Why This Must Be Read: This story sneaks in and grabs you by the heart and then breaks it a little by the end. Normally I don't like kid fic, but cottontail is able to make you believe that Andrew Sheppard McKay would have been a very special child. He might have been created by accident, but this story tells how Rodney and John come to love their son and slowly each other. It also has a much happier sequel, Inch Worm.
