Hi. I'd like to volunteer but am not sure what I should sign up for. I've only been reading in the fandom now for 3 days! But have been watching to show for a number of years. I read both Het and Slash, and really don't know where to find the best story sites etc. At the moment it's pretty hit or miss. So - I'm wondering do you have a section for Must Reads for Newbies? I'd like to see it! And, could I just recommend stories as I come across them - and add them to the pairing or genre as I go?

Hmmm... Okay I would say that the best thing for you to sign up for in your first go around would be one of the broader genres where you can rec any character or pairing. Slash is take for February, so I would best suggest the Het category.

As far as where to find good fic, I read stories at The Tablet (http://www.omnifera.com/tablet/)

The last is sort of a fan awards place but it archives past nominees and winners.

Het it is then. Thanks for the links -that will help a lot. I'm sort of bouncing all over at the moment. These will give me a good jumping off point. Just to be clear - this will be through the end of February - correct?

You're welcome. And yeah, you'll can rec starting Feb 1 and go through the end of the month. So you have the entire month to make four recs.

I'm a bad rec'cer and didn't rec at all >< truth is, I was gonna do my 4 rec's now, but now that my computer's become a vegetable (heh...long story) I can't do those rec's. Hopefully this shall be fixed soon, but I fear that with school starting again, I'm gonna pull another non-existant rec'cing month. So I guess I'll still keep my position and try to pull out some rec's, but I'm just warning you :\
