Why This Must Be Read: Dominion as an episode had a lot of moments where you wondered what happened off-screen and this fic shows one of the major ones. It depicts what might be THE missing scene of the episode and very well at that. It's plausible from Vala's reactions, scrappy and tetchy, to Daniel's and the teams, who try very hard to not get too annoyed with her, because they deserved it. At least they did in Vala's mind and that is explored very well.
Snippet: But of course, Daniel Jackson isn’t one to be ignored. He moves closer and grabs her wrist, stopping her just before she touches the fourth constellation on the dialing device. “Vala,” he says, his voice so gentle, so kind. “Stop.”
