Why This Must Be Read:
Although it's complete,destina only released this for a WIP amnesty, because she's not wholly satisfied with it. All I can say is that if my unsatisfactory stories came out like this, I'd be ecstatic.
Without wishing to spoil too much: this is a gorgeous, agonizing and utterly convincing demonstration of why ascension might be the worst possible thing that could happen to Jack.
