Why This Must Be Read:
The guys really should learn to listen to Teyla more often, especially when she warns them about the dangers of drinking Olanian Firewhiskey. This is a fun and very funny story about what happens to those who don't listen to sound advice...and generally there are killer hangovers involved. There's a lovely bit of John/Teyla UST (plus a drunken confession or two), but I particularly love how
madjm illustrates how Teyla's role on the team often verges on being the disgruntled babysitter to three men who don't always realize they're supposed to be grown-ups. Teyla always seems to be caught between annoyance with and fondness for her teammates, particularly their (not-always-so) illustrious leader and this story captures that beautifully.

They were ignoring her again.
Teyla stifled a sigh and sat back in her seat. Colonel Sheppard was arguing with Dr. McKay, and Ronon was ... well, who knew what he was doing, besides staring off into the distance.
And not listening to her.
Teyla thought, not for the first time, that being a member of Sheppard's team was somewhat like caring for three small boys. They were cute, often funny and occasionally charming. The very next second, however, they could make her want to throw them off the nearest balcony.
And there were many balconies in Atlantis.
