All of these drabbles are great but I picked this one because I think it was the first one I read & it made me want to read the rest of the series, so I also recommend you take a look at the rest of them

Dance has just the right combination of angst and happiness and purple_cube manages to do this in a fairly short piece. The Teyla characterisation is spot on & her grief at being alone is tangible. Rodney is able to help her but without being too out of character because his approach isn't perfect & he probably isn't as sauve as he might like

His expression changed as an emotion that she had never before seen flickered across his face. She watched him breathe deeply before speaking, his voice barely louder than a whisper. “Why didn't you want to dance? I thought that maybe you just didn't want to with me, but you didn't dance with Sheppard or Ronon earlier either. You're normally the life and soul of these things.”
