Why This Should Be Read:

A great short story from Jack's POV. The possibly canon, but definitely fanon of the team in tents offworld provides a great setting for this story. Jack's trying to sleep; Daniel's up way too late figuring out some translations. When Daniel gets Sam interested as well, it's a wonder twin whirlwind, and not even Teal'c nor "On Top of Old Smokey" can be a refuge.

The characters are sharply defined as individuals and in their interrelationships. It's a not-quite quiet moment we rarely see on screen with SG-1 just interacting with each other in a natural and believable way. Teamy goodness galore, complete with a possibility of blowing sh** up!

This is a required little fic to read and brighten your day. No, really!

Very nice little read. I can quite see Daniel babbling on, especially like Jack's reaction when he realizes Daniel is asking permission to use C4 and lots of it ;)
