This is kind of an instant rec. I know I've been reccing too much John/Rodney already, but then this was posted and I just couldn't help myself because I am overwhelmed with love for this story!

It was written for sga_flashfic's 'wordless' challenge, and the premise is simple. Rodney loses his words. Not just his voice, but his language. To watch him trying to find new ways to communicate is heartwrenching and you can feel his frustration. Then there is John and the team, and Rodney slowly regaining his ground. I'm not usually a fan of disability-stories, but this grabbed me by the heart and wouldn't let go.

I honestly don't know how best to describe the awesomeness of this story. You'll just have to go and read it.

Thanks for that rec. I don't much like disability fic either which is why I'd skipped this when I saw it first. And boy, I would've missed out on a fantastic story.

Oh My God! This was one of the most fantastic things that I have ever read! The thought of McKay being unable to speak is mindboggling! I love the way that he interacted with the rest of his teammates and the fact that when the device worked, that he still didn't have any patience with idots.
