Rec category: Hurt/Comfort
Pairing: John/Atlantis
Category: H/C, Sheppard, episode related, gen
Warning: No warning (unless tea scares you)
Author on LJ:
basingstoke
Author's webpage: Basingstoke's Home
Link: Armistice
Why This Must Be Read:
No-one is sleeping.
While I also love basingstoke's Ceasefire, I chose to rec Armistice because, Carson! (Just for your information, Sunday doesn't exist until I've seen it, and don't know if I plan to see it ever...)
Armistice is set post-The Siege III. It's over, but out heroes still find it hard to get any sleep. To say anything more would be to spoil the reading experience.
While I read fanfic mostly for characters and plot, this is one of the fics I come back to over and over again because of the language. It's only a little over 1000 words, but not one word is unnecessary and the whole thing flows so beautifully that I never get tired of reading it. I wish I could explain it better but you'll just have to go and see for yourselves.
