Why This Must Be Read: Something to know about me, I can't handle blood. Yet I am reccing a story where a blood ritual is the root of all that unfolds in the prose. This is because the author hints and alludes to the horror rather than painting graphic picture and doesn't let the reader in the nature of the horror very end, and even then in passing not in detail. Letting the reader know only what needs to be known to understand why Rodney an Carson are where they are at the point of time in the story. We are guided through the eyes of Carson, watching the man he loves suffering, with only glimpses of Rodney's pain directly. Don't let the warnings scare you away.
