Why This Must Be Read: I adore this clever and highly original story. As far as I'm concerned, it's the definitive SGA/Harry Potter crossover. It's got everything: action, adventure, drama, and magic! (The story also won the 2006 Stargate Fan Award for Best Crossover in the Gen category.)
"Come on, Carson. The Ancient devices are incredible. And making them work, just by touching them?" [Rodney] smiled, and the expression on his face was the same one he'd had when he'd first shown Carson the personal shield glowing on his chest and proudly told him he'd become invulnerable. "It's fantastic. It's like - it's like magic."
"It is nothing at all like magic!" Carson said indignantly.
"Okay, not magic in the sense that, yeah, this is something real, but, Clarke's Law, right?" Carson's confusion must have shown on his face, because Rodney sighed. "Arthur C. Clarke, science fiction author. Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic."
