Now would be the time I'd start begging you all to volunteer to be a reccer. Not this month.

Why you ask? It's my birthday in December and I feel like shaking things up. It's my birthday right? ::snickers::

Okay here's the deal.

From now all the way until the end of December stargateficrec will be an open comm. Yep you heard me right. You don't have to volunteer to rec your favorite fics. Anyone can recommend their favorite stargate/atlantis fan fiction.

BUT I'm going to set some ground rules. If you break any of these rules I'll warn you once. You'll get on a list (I like to call it my shit list) If you break a rule again. You lose your posting access. Yeah It's harsh but gotta have rules.

Rule number one. Do NOT post more then 4 times a day. It's annoying and just rude.
Rule number two Follow the posting template.

Title by Author (Rating): (Please put in subject)

Rec Category:

Pairing: (no abbreviations please) Ex. Daniel/Jack, Sam/Jack not D/J, S/J
Category: Ex. h/c, a/a, etc.
Warning: Ex. Het, Slash, Noncon (This is a must! If you do not have this, your post will be deleted!)

Uh question...

Should I stop reccing in the four categories you assigned to me for the month of November and rec in only one? Please let me know. I still have a ton of stories I planned to rec in those categories. Thanks so much! Take care!

It's open for everyone and anyone, which means no one is assigned to any categories anymore.

You can rec what ever you like, just no more then three posts a day.

Thanks so much for letting me know. I'm sorry if my posting 4 recs a week all in the same day during November caused any problems. I had four categories to rec for and posting them all in one day made it a whole heck of a lot easier for me to remember to do it, seeing as my month has been complete havoc and chaos. I'll do my best to keep my postings at 3 or less a day from now on. : )

Is there any "guide" out there to category definitions [like h/c is hurt comfort, etc.]? I think I've got the basics down, but, for example, a/a is a new one to me....

Oh one more dumb thing -- have you considered a "try to make sure it already hasn't been recced" [is that a word?] rule? Or do you not care about duplication?

You can find all the previously recced stories in the memories section. Just go to the community info page, and you'll find the link to "memories."

If you go to the memories section you should get an idea what A/A means (Action/Adventure)

And about the duplication, that's life. I can't control that kind of thing so it seemed silly to make it a rule. (I'm not about to go though all the memories each time someone posts) I was hoping people would be able to look on their own and make the right decision.

I'm not a member of this community, nor do I have a lj account. I lurk. But thanks to all of you for the great reccomendations.

I recommend "Ketchup" by Jaed. Humor, gen, Daniel-centered. One of the funniest fics around. Sorry I can't provide a link. If someone wants to post this rec properly, please go ahead.
