Why This Must Be Read: This fic can be taken as ship or friendship, either way, but it is an excellent little post-ep. story for The Shroud. Reality of the consequencs of Daniel's actions have set in. Some want action taken against him, while others are already welcoming him home. Daniel's well-known, over-developed sense of guilt has a huge presence in the story, but is nicely tempered by Vala and Jack's humor, as well as Jack's reminder that with all the bad stuff going on, people still need to celebrate what small victories they have.
