Why This Must Be Read: Imagine that after ‘The Siege II’ that John is lost. Rodney is reaching the end of his rope, hiding from sleep, personal contact, and stopping to think about anything other than returning Atlantis to pre-Siege condition. After four days without sleep, Carson forcibly intervenes. Banished to near the Athosian settlement (but by himself), he’s looked after by Halling while dealing with hallucinations and a continuing inability to sleep.
