Why This Must Be Read: Wow! I just read this newly posted story and it aches with angst and need. It is told entirely from Jack’s POV. It slowly describes the unraveling of SG1 through season 4. It shows how Jack is in love with Daniel from a far, but does nothing to act upon it. The consequences are clear; SG1 and the interaction of Jack and Daniel break apart. The author stays in character and true to the show’s nature during that tumultuous season. When Daniel leaves SG1 and finds happiness with another team, you are hoping that Jack will come to his senses. Will he? Can he? Will it take a catastrophic event for Jack to do something to get Daniel back? How this ends will leave you aching for more.
