Why This Must Be Read: This short piece was written for the Porn Battle, so it's short, but packs a powerful punch. It's Daniel's POV, as he watches Jack wrestle with the cost of being the head of the SGC. This scene takes place just after Endgame, but you can see why Jack eventually takes the promotion to DC.

As always, Komos delivers a tremendous amount of character study within an extremely explicit sex scene.

He reached around to unbuckle Jack's belt, then said "Do the pants" and stepped to the table to lift the glass and knock the bourbon back in two swallows. The fluid was russet, like drops of blood dissolved in golden wine. It slid down on a fiery burn while he went to flip the room lights off.
