Why This Must Be Read:
This story really captures the awkwardness of two characters sleeping together for the first time and the differences between Earth and Athosian culture. The author also addresses the potential consequences of the relationship for John in terms of the views of his colleagues and superiors within the military. The details, such as John's sudden nervousness around Teyla and his wariness of insulting Athosian customs make this a really enjoyable read.
